Plot Summary: Morning Glory was Kate's third film role, and a major success. Directed by Lowell Sherman and co-starring Douglas Fairbanks Jr. Based upon a play by Zoe Atkins, Morning Glory tells the story of an enthusiastic (read: over ambitious) young actress Eva Lovelace (formally just Love) determined to get on the stage. Her looks, rather then her talent win her roles, unbeknownst to her.

Awards: Kath received her first Oscar nomination and win for her performance as Eva Lovelace. She did not attend the award ceremony and the next morning left for a two week long cruise without bothering to pick up the statue.
